Reading Workshop

• Readers choose nonfiction books

• Readers think about what they already know about the subject

• Reading partners share their books & work together to learn more

 

Writing Workshop

• Writers see a ‘How To’ lesson and share an interactive writing

• Writers learn more about their ‘How To’ books by sharing with their partner

• Writers write clear instructions by using specific direction words & precise language

The following topics will be taught

• Students will decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than 1 way

• Students will compare numbers 11-19 into 10 ones and further ones

• Students will find the number that makes 10 when added to a given number
