Mystery

  • Readers identify the crime solver and client and ask ‘what is the mystery?

  • Readers ask ‘what have we noticed about mysteries

  • Readers re read and re think using post its

  • Readers keep a list of people they suspect could have committed the crime

  • Readers realize that rereading the text can lead to new ideas

 

Writing Workshop

  • Writers find major concerns by asking what is important to them

  • Writers add to seed idea by adding reasons why

  • Writing partners help their partner by asking questions

  • Writers write a persuasive essay on a response

  • Revise, edit & publish

  • To estimate and measure customary units of capacity, weight
